Kachanga village is located in Port Bell in Uganda.This village was began by we retired soldiers of the government in 1999.
What makes special about our village is the we have a Sand Beach on the other side our land called Miami Sand Beach.
The proximity of the beach from Kampala City is just 7 km,a 20 minute drive off Old Port Bell Rd in Luzira Port Bell.
Life well which is heade by Kim Madsen neighboring this village, have committed themselves to help us the veterans who are living under poor condition with widows and orphans.

Kachanga veterans Village
Our society is composed of veterans with their families,orphans,widows and youth who have decided to work with us.This is because we are organized with good leaders who have managed to keep such a group of people together with one team spirit.
The idea was began by Matovu Badru who had also been among those veterans that where mobilized by General Sal eh to come and help in the cleaning of the terminal that had been affected by water hyacinth to the extent that the ships could not dock,later teaming with Mugabe Eldard to mobilize others.
Miami sand Beach is the one and only nearest beach from Kampala city,that alone has kept us out of competition with other beaches as one has to drive to Entebbe to find a beach.
In his words,Kim Madsen said we are living in Paradise but we did not know.He has donated our families with mosquito nets,he wants us alive in order to work with him more until he changes our standards of living.
